I can't recommend it highly enough! An experience of a lifetime! Merzouga is a long drive from Marrakesh, eight to nine hours, but with an experienced guide, you will be ab;e to see so much on your way there that the time will fly.

We booked our trip with Merzouga Luxury Desert Camps and spent two nights there. Interesting: It could host about 800 students and they lived there while studying.

What to order: signature mocktails, chicken skewers, poke bowl

Interesting: It was Thami El Glaoui's (who was sort of governor) private palace in the early nineteen hundreds. It was built to impress guests. It was converted into museum not a long time ago.

Good to know: Arrive a little early to will start with a drink on a beautiful terrace.

Interesting: Kasbah Taourirt was built in the 19th century and it has more than 300 rooms. It was restored with assistance from UNESCO.

It was built like a maze from the structure of the rooms to the courtyard layout.

Interesting: Sand dunes in this area can go up to 600 feet in height.

Interesting: It was built in 1640 and restored in 1955 after being destroyed by flooding.

Interesting: There's a parking lot for donkeys. You can buy animals at this market. Here's how much you would pay:

Interesting: Jardin Majorelle was created over the course of 40 years starting from 1923.

It was purchased by Yves Saint Laurent in 1980 to save it from the hotel developers. It was opened as a museum in 2011.
