Antique Shops & Secondhand Stores near Aviano Air Base, Italy
Some tips to get you started:
Some of these are straightforward to an experienced thrifter/antique hunter, but in case you haven't, here are a few tips to help:
- Because these are small businesses, they may have weird hours or only open part of the week. Each of these listings has hours listed in the details if the business has provided it to Google. When in doubt, Saturday morning is a great time to go!
- Cash is a must! Not everywhere will take credit cards, although a few do. You can also typically get 10% off bigger purchases (like furniture) if you pay with cash.
- Negotiating just depends. For smaller items, it's not really done, but for big purchases (especially if buying more than one), you can ask.
- Keep in mind that the staff/owners of these shops don't necessarily speak English! Brush up on Italian numbers before you go, and be kind and patient.
- If antique shopping is up your alley, keep your eyes out for towns' monthly antique markets! For example, Sacile's is on the 4th Sunday of each month and Aviano's is on the 1st Sunday. They're so much fun and offer the same types of items, set up in the center of town!
