Welcome to Seoul, a vibrant city where ancient traditions meet modern trends.
Let's dive right in!
Changgyeonggung Palace
@melissaschwedhelm
Personally, this is my favorite of the main palaces in Seoul :) It is available to enter for free if you wear a Hanbok (Korean traditional gown) and there are free guided tours available (English: twice a day).
I recommend also exploring the Secret Gardens attached to the Palace which requires an extra ticket. To visit the Gardens you have to be part of a guided tour which is available in English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese.

Hi, I'm Melissa :)
I am from a little town in the middle of Germany and now live in Seoul, South Korea.
My favorite way of diving into a culture is by trying the local cuisine. Just getting off at a random subway stop and wandering the streets is another fun way of getting to know the destination.
After school, I decided to throw myself into my first adventure alone. Moving abroad 8,000 km from my family. In the US, I discovered my love for travel, especially budget traveling. Since then, I explored a lot of parts of Western Europe and East Asia. I did a semester abroad as part of my Master Degree in International Tourism in Seoul and never left again :D
My Guides include:
Personal Notes, Interactive Maps, Opening Times, Directions, Fares and for Korean Guides Naver Map links for easier navigation.
