We have gone to Tomorrowland four times! It is a festival that is truly one of a kind. The organization and magic of the festival are what keep us coming back. In our opinion, it is the best festival in the world, and we have been to many! This is our guide to the magic of Tomorrowland.

Basic Information

🎆Opening hours

Weekend 1: Friday July 19 - Sunday July 21, 2024

Weekend 2: Friday July 26 - Sunday July 28, 2024

The opening hours of Tomorrowland are the same for each weekend:

Friday 12:00 PM - 01:00 AM Check-in until 22:00

Saturday 12:00 PM - 01:00 AM Check-in until 22:00

Sunday 12:00PM - 00:00 AM Check-in until 21:00

💥For safety reasons, after leaving Tomorrowland, you will not be able to re-enter on the same day, even if you have a Tomorrowland Bracelet for 3 days.

💥MINIMUM AGE

The minimum age to enter the festival is 18 years old. People born in 2006 will be granted entrance even though they turn 18 after the festival. Anybody who turns 18 in 2024, is permitted entrance.

💥VISITORS WITH DISABILITIES

Tomorrowland puts in a great effort to make the festival accessible to visitors with disabilities.

✳On the display of the blue parking card, a specially reserved parking space is available. (Parking is close to the Main Entrance). More detailed information on the exact location of this parking will be available closer to the festival.

✳At the Main Entrance, there is an elevator reserved for visitors with disabilities. Two people can accompany them through this entrance (if they have a registered Tomorrowland Bracelet)

✳Guidance dogs are allowed on the festival grounds. They must be easily recognizable.

✳Adapted toilets are situated in locations all over the festival site and at DreamVille.

✳Wooden floors and other pavements guarantee accessibility on the festival grounds.

✳There is a specially provided camping space at DreamVille. Please let us know at least 1 month in advance if you would like to use it.

✳If you have a disability and still have questions, you can send an email to info@tomorrowland.com.

How to score Tomorrowland tickets

✳The best way to get tickets is direct from the TML site.

https://www.tomorrowland.com/en/festival/welcome

✳It is extremely hard to get a ticket directly from the site. To do so, you must preregister before the deadline on the website.

✳Then you NEED to try and get tickets during the presale.

✳If you do not get tickets there, then you can try again during the worldwide sale.

✳If you didn't get a ticket during the worldwide sale, don't feel discouraged. Unfortunately, MOST PEOPLE don't get tickets directly from the site.

✳For reference, out of the 4 years we've been, we've only scored tickets from the site once!!

TIPS

✨ Log into your TML account before the sale begins

✨ Remember ticket sales are based on the local time in Belgium

✨ Clear your browser & only have the TML tab open

✨ Be prompt! Enter the waiting room as soon as it opens

✨ If needed alert your bank of the transaction beforehand

✨ NEVER REFRESH YOUR PAGE ONCE IN THE WAITING ROOM

Other options for tickets on the site

ðŸ’¥Global Journey: These tickets include transportation from different countries worldwide by air, bus, or train. Global Journey doesn't usually sell out, making it a fantastic option. However, these tickets are a lot more expensive.

💥TML also partners with a few travel companies where you can buy a travel package that includes a festival ticket. Visit the official travel partners section on their website below.

https://www.tomorrowland.com/en/festival/ticket-sales/travel-partners

Tickets outside of the TML site

✳Once you purchase your ticket, you will receive a voucher. Expect to receive the voucher a few days before the event. At WILL CALL you will exchange your voucher for a wristband.

✳Be sure to have a physical ID if retrieving tickets from will call

Location

ðŸŽ‡Tomorrowland takes place at the recreation area De Schorre, in Boom.

🎇The town of Boom is situated in Belgium, between Antwerp & Brussels.

🎇Address: PRC de SchorreSchommelei2850 Boom

🎇Belgium Tomorrowland can easily be reached by bike, public transport or car.

Where to stay/ Transportation Recommendations

Most people decide to stay in Brussels or Antwerp. We've stayed in both.

Brussels

💥When staying in Brussels transportation is key. The festival is about a 40-minute drive from the city center.

Transportation options: Uber or shuttle bus

*Shuttle bus tickets can be bought on the TML website

💥We would only recommend the shuttle bus service if staying in Brussels. The shuttles are organized by the festival, are affordable, and take the hassle out of planning.

💥If you opt for an Uber, the ride to the festival may be affordable, however, the Uber on the way back will be extortionate.

💥We would recommend a hotel or an Airbnb near the train station "Bruxelles-Nord". This is where the shuttle pickup/drop-offs are.

Antwerp

💥This is our favorite option. When staying in Antwerp you are technically only 20 minutes away from the festival grounds...However, these 20 minutes are more like 40 when you add the walk from the train station.

Transportation options: Train or Uber

💥TML partners up with public transportation which offers a discounted r/t train ticket to the festival. These tickets are usually only about 6 euros!

*TML will release this information as the event approches

💥You also have the option to take an Uber. An Uber to the festival is quite affordable and leaves you right at the festival entrance. Whereas the train station is about a 20-minute walk from the entrance.

💥We usually take an Uber to the festival and return on the train

💥We would recommend getting a hotel or an Airbnb close to the train station "Antwerpen-Centraal".

Hotel Recommendations

We have shared some of the best hotel recommendations for both Brussels and Antwerp. We've included hotels in all budgets for options.

Keep in mind that Belgium revolves around TML during these dates! Our best recommendation is to book your hotel ASAP! Accommodation fares for both weekends are extremely inflated and LIMITED!

What to bring

TML is one of the most organized festivals we've been to. However, it's usually a good idea to bring a few things to make your experience more comfortable.

https://www.tomorrowland.com/en/festival/practical/forbidden-objects

What we usually bring:

✨ Rain poncho

✨ Sunblock

✨ Sunglasses

✨ Light Jacket

✨ Toilet paper

✨ Hand sanitizer

✨ Empty water bottle

✨ Battery pack

✨ Ear plugs

Things that are supplied at TML for free

✨ Ear plugs (Medic tent)

✨ Sunblock (Medic tent)

✨ Band-Aids (Medic tent)

✨ Non-prescription meds like Tylenol or antacids (Medic tent)

✨ Feminine hygiene products (Medic tent)

✨ Deodorant (Bathrooms)

Festival do's and dont's

Festival do's

💥 Bring a flag to represent your country!!

💥 Try & visit every stage

💥 Have fun with your outfit themes

💥Attend the opening ceremonies at the Mainstage daily!!

💥 Meet new friends from around the world

💥 Stay for the closing ceremonies

Festival dont's

💥 Don't underestimate the weather. It will be hot, sunny, rainy, and chilly all on the same day

💥 Don't wear platforms or uncomfortable shoes

💥 Don't bring a backpack, opt for a fanny pack instead

💥 Don't be disappointed if you can't get to see all of your favorite acts, the TML festival grounds are quite enormous

💥 Don't wait in long lines to top-up pearls (TML currency) there are many locations around the festival. The locations near the entrance are the busiest

Typical weather

💥 The weather at TML is usually unpredictable. However you can plan for the unexpected!

💥The days are very hot and sunny.

💥It usually rains on 1-2 days of the festival. The rain is often quick and doesn't last for more than an hour, except when it does. We've experienced days where the rain lasted 20 minutes and others where it lasted 3 hours. It can also rain more than once a day. You might also get fortunate and experience no rain at all! * This is why the weather is very unpredictable

💥 The evenings are cool, bring a light jacket

💥Plan to wear rain-resistant shoes, carry a rain poncho, sun block & a hat

Festival Expectations

💥 The walk from the train station to the festival entrance is about 20 minutes

💥 Stages are about 15-20 minutes apart with a one-way walking system. Plan accordingly

💥 Most of the stages are on concrete not grass

💥 TML is completely cashless

💥Expect to spend an average of 50 - 100 Euros per day

💥 The food options at the festival are EXCELLENT! TML has some of the best food options we've ever experienced at a festival

💥 It takes at least 40+ minutes to reach the exit from the Mainstage at the end.

💥 If you plan on taking a taxi after the festival, know the prices will be extortionate 150 euros to Antwerp & 300 to Brussels

TML currency (Pearls) expectations

* 2023 PRICE LIST

🎆1 PEARL (P) = 1.74 EUROS

💥Jupiler beer 2.00 - 3.75 P

💥 Hoegaarden Rose 2.75 P

💥Coca Cola 2.00 P

💥 Red bull 2.00 P

💥 Bottled water 2.00 P

💥 Wine 4.25P

💥 Mixed drinks 6.75 - 7.75 P

💥 Food 6.25 - 8.00 P

Festival hidden gems

💥 Cave Stage: Take a few moments to enjoy the nostalgia of raving inside a cave. Major DJs randomly make an unannounced appearance! You never know who you might see! * FIND IT NEAR THE POST OFFICE

💥 Post office: Mail yourself or a friend a FREE TML postcard to cherish the moment

💥 The bathrooms on the right hand side behind the mainstage are always less crowded than the left

💥 Ride the Ferris wheel at night & soak in the view!

General Advice

💥 Arrive to the festival early enough to explore the grounds before the massive crowds arrive. The festival grounds start getting crowded around 4 PM.

💥 Remember TML is a marathon not a race. Pace yourself!

💥 Stay for the closing ceremony on the last night. It's a very magical moment * Don't watch from the middle of the crowd, watch from the sidelines for a speedy exit.

Best Eats

💥 Balls of Glory: Risotto balls

💥 Belgian fries

💥 Korean fried chicken

💥Banh mi

Worth it Tomorrowland add-ons

💥 Lockers: We would recommend getting your locker near the Mainstage. The second lot of lockers is near the entrance, which is a bit inconvenient to retrieve items from frequently. You have the same locker for the duration of the festival.

💥 Shuttle bus: The shuttle bus from Brussels to the festival is the most convenient and affordable option.

💥 TML discount train ticket: If you're staying in Antwerp/Mechelen, opt for the train ticket, regardless if you will only be using it oneway.

💥 Dining experiences: TML offers a few dining experiences as an add-on. They sell out each year! Tickets usually go on sale in May. If you have the opportunity to get tickets, we would highly recommend it! Our favorite was BEAT Las Vegas followed by a seating at The Tomorrowland Restaurant at the Mainstage. This add-on is completely about the nostalgic experience.

Veteran tips

💥 Pringle lids fit perfectly over TML drink cups

💥 The BEST drink at the festival is a Hoegaarden Rose (beer)

💥 Bring a water bottle cap with you. When you buy water, they remove the cap. However, we have noticed that the water bottles have changed from plastic to cardboard. Meaning this tip may or may not be useful

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hiya!! We are Denise and Marco, a full-time travel/ life abroad married couple with a deep passion for immersing ourselves in new cultures and embracing unique experiences around the world. 🙌 We have been living a life abroad for over 8 years! 🎇As we continue to explore and learn from our travels, we have decided to share our experiences and offer personalized travel itineraries and guidance. We believe that every traveler is unique, with individual preferences and interests. We aim to curate tailor-made experiences that focus on local activities and bypass mass tourism. ✨More about us✨ Our love for travel began when we first met, and since then, it has become an integral part of our lives. In 2016, we made a life-changing decision to leave the comfort of the United States and settle in the vibrant city of London. It was here that we truly began to experience travel in its purest form. London became our launchpad, igniting our passion for discovering the world and teaching us the importance of immersing ourselves in local experiences. In 2021, we decided to take our travel adventures to the next level. We left behind our settled life in the UK and embraced a nomadic lifestyle, traveling and living abroad permanently. This decision allowed us to break free from societal norms, redefine our boundaries, and truly become citizens of the world. Our experiences taught us that by embracing diversity, we enrich our own lives and develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for the world around us. We recently adopted our fur baby while living in Colombia, and he has joined us on our nomadic adventures! We're excited to guide you on your next adventure 🙌
