With multiple entry points along the shore and great views of the lake, the Lake Walk is a perfect, easy, paved walkway that stays relatively flat. If you can make it to Leif Erickson Park, don't skip out on seeing the Rose Garden at street level.

Start by checking out Enger Tower for panoramic views of Duluth. If you're still up for more after the steps to the top and back down, jump onto the Superior Hiking Trail entrance north of the parking lot. Time permitting, go out and back on both the western and eastern route. Both will give you glimpses of the lake through the beautiful birch trees.

Keep in mind there may be bikers, but the Home Brew Trail which connects to the Brewer Park Loop is a fun and challenging hike through the beautifully forested area of Brewer Park.
