The very first brewery we visited when we moved to SA back in 2017 and also one of my favorites. The beers are mostly german but they do have a variety and they are always releasing new beers.

Freetail Brewing Co.

One of the oldest breweries in SA and also one of the cheapest in my opinion. Great selection of beers, they have two locations with the one of 1604 having great pizza. The downtown location has expanded and has a nice little outdoor patio.

Alamo Beer Company

Another great established brewery. You can find most of their beers at the store, but their location is great and has the biggest outdoor patio from most breweries. They are also on the cheaper side for their brews. They do tend to have lighter, beers, and sour beers which are my go to.

Cactus Land Brewing Company

This one is a hidden little gem and will require a little drive located about 25 min from downtown SA. Only open every other weekend kind of a bummer but it is in the middle of the country. Great outdoor patio, they have lived music when they are open, they have expanded the space a lot since they've opened. Great for family fun.

One of the newer breweries in the area, not in SA but right outside in Universal City. I will say the have a great menu the korean tacos are excellent. Good variety of beer although not too many light beer options. Great indoor and outdoor space.
