Savannah is Georgia's first city est. 1733 and is still an important city for shipping, commerce, and tourism. Visit here for a romantic feel of cobblestone streets, trees covered in Spanish moss, and a walkable downtown filled with beautiful park squares. The seafood, entertainment, and historic landmarks are top notch, all listed in this guide.
Special weekends include St. Patrick's Day (one of the largest celebrations in the country) and 4th of July with it's firework show over the river!
Do you dare visit a haunted house?? This pre-civil war house is rumored to be so! If that's not your thing, maybe the fact that it is a boutique B&B with a wine reception each evening is appealing!
Right on the river, it is vibrant, fun, and has plenty of restaurant and entertainment options on premise!

Day 1
Check into your hotel and start exploring! Savannah is a leisurely town during the day, spend some time exploring the river walk and all it has to offer. Be sure to stop by the Plant District, it's the latest and greatest refurbished factory with everything you need for a good time. Choose a rooftop restaurant along the river and watch the ships go by as you enjoy your evening.
The Plant District is a refurbished and repurposed factory. Here there is dining, shopping, nightlife, live music, and more! At the very least, walk through to see the dinosaur bones!
A fine dining option with great views of the river and ships.

Day 2
Really start to get to know Savannah and it's storied past with a couple tours. I would recommend to start with a Riverboat cruise and trolley tour, then have a quick lunch and make your way to tour one of the historic houses. After a long day of walking around visit a classic Savannah restaurant like The Olde Pink House or The Pirate House, I would recommend reservations in advance for both.
I recommend a Riverboat and trolley tour! It was the best way to beat the heat and get to see the best of Savannah. The Riverboat even has a cannon fake fire at you from Fort Pulaski!
Seafood and themed cocktails make this a must stop for everyone visiting Savannah.

Day 3
Time for a change of locations! Hop across the bridge for about a 30 minute drive to visit Tybee island, a Georgia barrier island known for it's beautiful Light House and landscapes. On your way to Tybee, stop at Fort Pulaski. Once on Tybee island, visit North beach for the light house and North Beach Bar. Don't worry about bringing beach chairs with you, there are reasonable chair and umbrella rentals available on the beach!
The most popular beach on the island for good reason, plenty of sand an amenities nearby! Excellent for sunbathing and swimming. Chair and umbrella rentals available, changing rooms available.
Eat and drink on the patio or grab take out for the beach! The servers here really care about the people, when I went it was a very hot summer day and they were making sure everyone had enough water.

Day 4
The last morning, stop for some brunch before heading out. If you have time, pick one of the below museum options that are unique to Savannah!
The founder of Girl Scouts was born here in Savannah! She lived an interesting life, visit here for a peek into Savannah's past and the history of the Girl Scouts.
I love to explore cities by foot, taking in the sights and culture at a leisurely pace while talking to as many locals as I can! Good food, drinks, and coffee at reasonable prices are important to me. I spent a about a year traveling Europe as a solo-backpacker and I loved every minute of it! Now I am a teacher and married and we travel as often as I have school breaks. I spend my weekends on romantic getaways and my big trips are always international! I'm ready to share all of my experience and expertise with you!
