Best Easy Treks for Beginners in India

Archit Jain
The Indian Himalayas provide incredible hiking chances for first-timers as well as difficult terrains and remote locations. No matter the environment, whether it be the rough terrain of Ladakh or the lush Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, there is always a simple track with breath-taking scenery and endless adventure waiting. The elevation in the Himalayas ranges from 2500 m to 4000 m, and the easiest treks in India call for at least 4-5 kilometres of walking each day.

In Ladakh, Sham Valley also known as Apricot Valley is one of the best treks for beginners. In Himachal, one gets spoilt for choices with easy treks like Beas Kund, Kareri Lake, Prashar Lake, Bhrigu Lake, Hatu Peak etc.

In Uttarakhand, there is also no dearth of easy treks for beginners. Chopta Chandrashila, Deoriatal, Nag Tibba, Kedarkantha, Brahmtal, Dayara Bugyal, and Valley of Flowers are some of the best easy treks in Uttarakhand.

The Sikkim Himalayas too have several amazing treks that are not only easy but offer picturesque views. The Rhododendron Trek, Dzongri Trek, Sandakphu, and Varsey Trek are ideal for beginners in Sikkim.
