Before heading to the Great Vermont Corn Maze, traveling on the Lamoille Valley Rail trail, or any of the events on the Danville Green, grab a sandwich, coffee, and anything else you need at Marty's First Stop.  It is also a gas station and EV charging station, though no air available.

Want to eat it in your car with a view?  Head east on Route 2 from Marty's and pull off at the scenic view of the White Mountains.

Grace Weaver
After living in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont for almost a decade, I have come to appreciate this scrappy corner of the iconic state. I have also navigated the transition from solo travel to reluctant partner travel to family travel. We venture on day trips, local road trips, relaxing vacations, and once rented a sleeper van in another country. I'd love to inspire people to travel who are interested but don't think they can. I will provide tips, confidence boosters, what works for us and how to pivot when plans don't work out. I believe anywhere can make for an interesting experience with the right perspective.
