This is the locals' favorite hang out spot. You will see sicilians here at any time of the day, from breakfast to aperitivo to a late night dessert.
I used to live nearby this cafè and I can guarantee they offer one of the best granita in town! Try pistachio & chocolate, with whipped cream and the typical 'briosche co' tuppo', meaning 'briosche with the hat'

They are well known in the city for their arancini, aka rice fried balls with different fillings inside, but you will be amazed by their granita too! I especially enjoy their fresh whipped cream to put on top.
Also placed in the main pedestrian street of the city, Via Etnea, it is the perfect place to have breakfast to start exploring the city!

For as much as a touristic location, Prestipino maintains it's quality and it is very much enjoyed by locals and tourists alike!

My favorite local hidden gems! This is the icecream shop you wish you had in your neighbourhood! Both their granita and icecreams are extremely delicious, and it's a very small shop with a few tables outside.
I used to go here every day after school, you will only see locals from the neighbourhood here
