Back in June 2019, I decided to spend a weekend down in Puglia with my boyfriend as it is only around 4 hours away from where I live. This is how we decided to structure the trip:
1. Day 1: Vieste and Peschici
2. Day 2: Boat trip and relax day
PESCHICI
If you come from up North, this little town lies before Vieste and it is definitely worth stopping by. The area, embroided within a mountain over the Adriatic sea, offers wide beaches, vibrant forests and amazing little coves.
The atmosphere itself is usually quiet and relaxed as there are not many tourists around (or at least not when we went). The town is the typical one you will find in Puglia with narrow streets surrounded by old houses adorned with colorful flowers. Since the town overlooks the sea, you will find signs signalling the way to panoramic views and decks.
The town doesn’t offer luxurious hotels / accomodation facilities so do not expect to find anything of that sort but more kiosks, bars and camping areas.
