The number of sushi restaurants in Alexandria is getting higher every day and it can be a little tricky to know wether the place is actually good or not.
I have listed below the top 5 sushi places i have been to and safe to say they were the best among many more places I’ve tried but did not like as much.
5- Sumi sishi
The dine in area is a bit small but the food tastes really good and everything is always fresh there, plus they have great delivery service.
4- Mori Sushi
The place itself feels luxurious and clean, very helpful staff, delicious food and sauces.
It can be a little pricy but the vibe and food are totally worth the extra money.
3- Oak Bay
Oak bay to me is like a second home, and that’s how everyone feels when they go there.
The place feels warm and luxurious at the same time and the chairs are so comfortable, service is great, the food is amazing and totally worth every pound you spend there.
Also, they have many offers throughout the week so check their instagram or facebook page before going to see if there are any new offers.
2-koi Sushi Bar
Koi is my go-to when I’m having a busy day and craving some sushi, the food arrives quickly which is surprising for a sushi restaurant, the place is clean and the service is great.
The place is full most of the time so you might need to call before going to see if there’s an empty table.
1-Ginger Restaurant
Ginger is easily the best sushi place in Alexandria and I’ll tell you a few reasons why.
The view you get is breathtaking especially in the night, the restaurant is inside the Hilton green plaza hotel and have amazing indoors and outdoors dining areas.
The food is beyond delicious, what makes it even better is the representation it comes in, they make the experience of going there very special and fun.
The prices are the most shocking part, for a very luxurious vibe, hotel-dining experience, fancy chopsticks and sushi ships, you’d expect to pay a lot of money but ginger’s pricing is just like any other sushi restaurant without the great amenities ginger has, it might even be lower than most sushi restaurants in the area.
(I’m talking specifically about the 60 and more pieces combos, the individual rolls prices are average)
What to choose?
If you’re looking for a fancy sushi date you should consider Ginger
A large group of people? Mori and Oak Bay might be your options since they both have a lot of space for groups.
A quick sushi lunch? Either sumi or koi would be good and quick.
An that’s it, enjoy your sushi!
