China Two-Week Itinerary (PRO Version) 🇨🇳

Here's my EXACT two-week China itinerary! 🙌🏽 🏙️ Cities Included in this Guide: Chongqing, Chengdu, Lijiang, Pu'er, Jingmaishan, Shanghai, & Suzhou. In the PRO Version, I share my day-by-day itineraries with timestamps, restaurant recommendations, hidden gems we found, details on how we got to each city and links to all of our hotels and some of the activities we did! You'll also find a list of apps we used + useful tips on how to get around China (at the end of this guide) 💡 Some links in this guide unfortunately are only in Chinese. Use a translator tool on your phone/computer to help. ⚠️IMPORTANT: This is an activity-HEAVY itinerary, with activities packed to the brim each day. A couple of days are reserved for long commutes (up to 8 hours), so consider dropping a part of this itinerary altogether or simplifying the plans according to your liking. If you're good with planning your trip on your own, check out the free version for my recommendations to help you out!

DAYS ONE TO FIVE | Chongqing + Chengdu

You'll start your journey to China in Chongqing where you'll spend your first four-five days before moving southwest. We ended up only doing a day trip to Chengdu in this time period, but feel free to add more days in Chengdu as there are so many things to do!

Chongqing Highlights

Chongqing, China, is a mountainous megacity known for its spicy hotpot, cyberpunk skyline, and unique monorail system. A major Yangtze River hub, it blends ancient history with modern skyscrapers. Iconic spots like Hongya Cave and the Three Gorges add to its misty, dramatic charm.
