This is a local guide to spring in Amsterdam. I'll share how I love to experience the tulip fields (and where to get amazing photos!), other activities to do in spring, and what our national holiday is like. The weather starts to get better and more people are outside enjoying the sunshine. So, join me as I share the best way to experience spring in Amsterdam.

Keukenhof

Known as the "Garden of Europe" this garden has many gardens within it's walls, plus a few greenhouses and a windmill, too! You could easily spend 4-6 hours here, so plan accordingly.

I use the Keukenhof Express that they have on their website. They pick up at the RAI Convention Center (metro stop RAI or metro/tram stop Europaplein depending on which metro you take). You chose a time to leave but you can take the bus back at any time. It runs about 8 times an hour and is an express bus.

Open from around mid-March through mid-May, this is a major tourist attraction for good reason.

Tulip Fields

Since the Keukenhof is a garden, you might be wondering about the tulip fields. Well, we have SO MANY! The area around Keukenhof is known as the Bollenstreek and has many fields plus some with memorable experiences worth a visit. I've listed a few in this area.
