Everything you need to see in Mauritius

In August and September 2023, my partner and I stayed on Mauritius for two weeks. It was the best holiday we've ever had - and we've seen quite some beautiful places on our planet. ❤️

Even tough Mauritius is rather small – from the northest part to the very south of the island you drive approximately 2 hours by car – there's lot to do here. You can of course relax on hundreds of beautiful beaches and do various water activities – snorkeling, diving, surfing, kite surfing, kayaking and so on. But you can also go for a hike – Mauritius has stunning mountains, the most popular being Le Morne Brabant –, visit the jungle and natural sights or visit the capital Port Louis.

What do to on Mauritius?

Here are seven must-sees in Mauritius:

🛥️ Visit Île Flat and other islands in the north of Mauritius for Caribbean like beaches and coral reefs.

🐳 Go whale or dolphin watching in the morning when the sun rises.

🌴 Visit Charmarel Waterfalls and Alexandra Falls and explore the wild forests and nature of Mauritius.
