This is a guide to an Island hopping itinerary of: Athens-Andros-Syros-Naxos-Paros
This guide will cover how to island hop through 4 incredible Greek Islands. It will cover things to do, places to eat, how to get around, and where to stay in each place. I have personally been to every single place included in this guide (except one! you'll see). These islands are a bit more off the beaten path than the usual tourist trail of Mykonos and Santorini. They are WELL worth visiting and should be on every travelers list! I believe you will find this guide extremely helpful and it will make your island hopping trip a breeze! I have listed personal descriptions about every single thing listed to give you a clearer idea of what to expect.

Logistics
For this trip it is easiest to begin and end in Athens. Especially if you're coming from outside the country. We flew into Athens and spent 2 nights and then spent 1 night on the way out.
We used direct ferries to book most of the ferries for our trip. They make it easy to see all of your options. Depending on company you schedule with and if you take a faster ferry times may vary. It's also important to check dates because ferries don't run on the same schedule every day. I couldn't insist more that you book ferries IN ADVANCE!
From Athens Rafina Port to Andros on the ferry was about 1.5 hours. Be aware Rafina port is about 45 mins from Alimos and from the center of Athens.
From Andros To Syros can take anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the ferry you take.
Syros to Naxos can take 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
Naxos to Paros is an easy 30 mins and runs very frequently.

I love learning about people and cultures and history. I love street art and busy cities and I also love small towns and quieter places. I will sleep in a hostel and I enjoy a beautiful hotel. I love South and Central America and I am obsessed with Europe. I've been to Asia twice and hope to get back in the next few years. I love to eat and one thing you'll always get from me are true and great reviews of places that I've personally eaten! I have just returned from Albania and I am working on guides from that trip!
My full time job is as a School Leader of Social and Emotional Learning in Philadelphia. All my travel is done on school breaks and in the summer. I have still managed to visit over 36 countries and countless cities along the way. Being a teacher my whole life is about planning and I do believe I am exceptional at it. I work VERY hard to plan incredible trips and now you can hopefully benefit from that as well!
