Copenhagen 5 Day Itinerary 

Arrive in Copenhagen and settle into your accommodation like Nobis, Manon Les Suites or CPH Studio Hotel.

Start your day with a traditional Danish Breakfast at the hotel - rye bread, eggs, smoked salmon and a coffee. 

Explore the charming streets of Nyhavn, lined with colourful buildings, cafes and canal views. 

Visit Tivoli Gardens, a historic amusement park, enjoy a leisurely stroll through its beautiful gardens. If you visit around Christmas time, the park is lit up beautifully at night. 

In the evening, indulge in a hygge- inspired dinner at a candlelit restaurant like Nyhavn 17 enjoying traditional Danish smorrebrod (a open sandwich) with a wide selection of fillings including herring and fresh prawns. 

Begin your day with a visit to Nørrebro, a vibrant neighbourhood known for its laid back atmosphere.

Explore the Assistens Cemetery, (sounds strange to visit a graveyard but this is peaceful green space) where you can find the gravesite of famous Danes, including Hans Christian Anderson. 

Enjoy fika (coffee break) at one of the local coffee shops with a Danish pastry - a cinanmon swirl is my preference or if visiting the Christmas markets grab yourself some Ebelskiver ( Danish pancakes) to be eaten with jam and icing sugar.

In the evening. visit Torvehallerne, an indoor food market and try some of the delicious street food and craft beers. 

Head to Frederiksberg, a green leafy district of Copenhagen where you can visit Frederiksberg Gardens and take a picnic to enjoy on the grounds.

Explore the tranquil streets lined with boutiques, bookstores and speciality shops.

Take a break at a local cafe like Mad & Kaffe or Oliver’s and watch the world go by with a cup of tea. 

Start the day with a relaxing canal tour appreciating the city's architecture and scenic landscape from the water.

Enjoy a slow paced bike ride along the waterfront, taking in the views and stopping at any of the green spaces along the route. 

Visit the famous NY Carlsberg Glyptotek, an art museum known for its stunning collections and tranquil ambience.

Explore Christiania, a unique and alternative community in Copenhagen. Learn about the history and principles of this self-governing neighbourhood through guided tours or by simply wandering its streets. Visit Christiania's Pusher Street, known for its street art, quirky stores, and relaxed atmosphere. Take a slow walk along the canals and gardens, enjoying the tranquility and embracing the freedom of the place.
