Where to Eat and Drink in Madison, Wisconsin
Julie's Journeying
Madison is an awesome foodie town and there are many more great restaurants and bars in the area than just these. I've chosen this short list because they are quintessentially "Madison" and great choices if you're in town for only a short time.

If you're interested in a weekend visit to Madison, check out my full itinerary
Wisconsin's capital city is the perfect spot for a laidback weekend outdoors in the spring, summer, and fall. Winters can be brutal in the Upper Midwest so Wisconsinites make up for it when the weather is nice. By following this itinerary, you can channel that spirit and embrace the lake life on my favorite isthmus.
Included in this itinerary are:
-🍽️ Friday Night Dinner
-🚣♀️🚶♂️☀️ Saturday and Sunday morning and afternoon activities
- 🧀🛌Dining and hotel recommendations
- 🖼️Alternate activities in case of bad weather
This trip does not require a rental car, but you have the option to go on a hike out of town if you want to rent one.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Julie's Journeying
Hi! I'm Julie, an avid traveler and explorer. I lived abroad in Dubai and the Netherlands for five years and have been to 70 countries across 6 continents (can't wait to check Antarctica of my bucket list someday!)
Now that I'm settled back in the US (North Florida), a lot of my journeys are closer to home and I love being able to dive deep into a compare and contrast of the beaches, hikes, and other attractions in my area.
I do extensive research and planning for my adventures and enjoy mid-price trips with a balance of outdoor nature based activities, culture, and great food.
On my page, I embrace that variety is the spice of life and you can find a mix of guides, maps, and more detailed itineraries in a range of places I've been and loved.
