Discovering the forest

This little unknown corner of Italy is a true natural paradise located in Lombardia , where Oglio River meets Iseo Lake. It almost looks like an enchanted forest, a fairytale and spooky place that gives great emotions without having to face titanic feats to reach it.

Location

"Bosco dei taxodi" is located in Paratico near Brescia town. It is a naturalistic oasis where beautiful and majestic "Taxodium distichums" grows. Basically, it is a small swamp, a small Florida in Lombardia, easy to visit through a rised walkway of about 300 meters, that allows visitors to walk without getting wet.

You can see the roots of the plants tangleling to reach the surface and breathe. You will take part in a majestic and enchanting game of mirrors and reflections in a truly out of the ordinary natural environment that is also home to several species of Grey Herons.

The path is very easy, short, all flat and could be access even with strollers. This is not a trekking route but a relaxing walk suitable for everyone. Along the way, there are explanation panels. Truly a microcosm in which every corner hides different emotions each time.

It is better to visit it in different seasons of the year to find out all the shades of light.
