Drive: Lutsen is about 240 miles from the Twin Cities. It is usually a 4 hour drive, but leave enough time for traffic and bad weather conditions. Once you get on Highway 61 after Duluth, you will have the choice to drive faster on the highway, or take the scenic view, which is much slower. There are numerous places to pull over and enjoy the view of Lake Superior or do some hiking. Make sure you have proper clothing and footwear depending on the season.

This is my favorite place to ski! It is for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. There's bunny hills for beginners to double black diamonds for experts. I personally enjoy Moose Mountain slopes as well as the spectacular views of Lake Superior.
