It's always romantic to have a walk together with your significant other, right? Have a stroll along the streets of Tallinn's OLD TOWN! The streets lined with medieval-looking buildings adds romance to this. I would recommend that you let yourselves just "get lost" in the streets of the old town and let your feet carry you. This is the best way to discover hidden corners and gems in the Old Town. There are so many beautiful buildings here and staying in the borders of the Old Town, I'm sure you'll discover a lot on your own. Take TOWN SQUARE as your starting point and start exploring around (and of course when in doubt, always check the map for your exact location!) But I would definitely recommend taking a stroll down from the Town Square to Vanaturu kael, seeing the OLDE HANSA medieval restaurant building (where you could also head out for a medieval atmospheric dinner afterwards) and gift shop and the outdoor spiced almonds sellers (please, allow your taste buds to familiarize this taste!) all dressed up in the medieval costumes and then proceeding on to Vene street and visiting the courtyards there. And taking the Pikk jalg or Lühike jalg to reach the upper part of the Old Town and visit some viewing platforms (Patkuli, for example) to enjoy beautiful views over the town.

Add an ever-classic romantic ride on the ice-skates in the open-air by visiting the Old Town Ice Rink (VANALINNA UISUPARK). You can rent a pair of ice skates from here and don't worry when you're not the most skilled skater - there's support frames available. But the experience itself and the views by skating in one of the main streets in the old town are breathtaking. Who knows, they even might throw in some more romantic songs to play from the loudspeakers for the occasion of Valentine's Day? And if you get cold or need a break or a little warm-up with mulled wine after the skating, there's a modest cafe right next to the ice skating field.

You can also fit in a visit to the little shop in the middle of the Old Town, close to the Town Square - KARU TALU ŠOKOLAAD (Bear Farm Chocolate). Chocolate and Valentine's Day fit together well and what could be better than trying out these delicious handmade vegan/vegetarian chocolates of this little place. My personal favorites - snickers bar and oat balls! Buy them along and munch on them later - I just warn you - don't eat too much at a time, because they are super sweet and delicious!

or another chocolate classic in town - PIERRE CHOCOLATERIE. With it's cafe located in the most romantic inner courtyard in Tallinn - MEISTRITE HOOV (Master's Courtyard). It's an utterly romantic cafe with a lot of soft fabrics, crochets, pillows and old items - try the hot chocolate of the ancient Aztecs and some chocolate truffels. Surely you can forget yourselves there for awhile for a small getaway and romantic eye-gazing!
