Best SLC Hikes (For someone who doesn’t like to hike)

I want to like hiking, but let’s face it there are so many other things I would rather do with my time. But these hikes were close to changing my mind!

Looking for something close to the city that is more of a short walk with a little bit of incline? Then Ensign Peak is for you!

Depending on how long you take staring out into the beautiful valley, it will take about 45 minutes to complete this hike. While there is steep elevation gain, my grandma hiked it in flip flops! This is the most beginner friendly and so close to downtown SLC and is very accessible! This is the number one hike I recommend to anyone visiting Salt Lake City!

The most scenic hike I love is Donut Falls. Depending on the time of year, you can go into the naturally made cave!

While it is a bit of a drive from SLC proper (about 40 minutes). This is a great all levels hike. It is flat most of the way and the last section you hike through the river to see the cool donut shaped hole formed from the waterfall!

Now, if you want a bit of a challenge try the Living Room Trail. The first time I tried this hike I got lost... so make sure you download the trail and go with plenty of daylight!

Living Room Trail
@hayleytaggart
This can be a tough trail to find, it took me three try’s before I made it to the top successfully! The name is from the rock formation that looks like couches and chairs, things you would find in someone's living room! Since it’s a bit longer I love packing lunch and eating with a view!

More of a pretty walk with a bridge!

Bear Canyon Suspension Bridge

A very easy hike with a beautiful bridge! Pro tip- get a hearty brunch at Bohemian Brewery afterwards!
