Only partially renovated when we visited, they continue to make improvements. The food is delicious.

Trendy, a bit pricy and really crowded on fall weekends…but you should go anyway.

A little tricky to find, but well worth it. I’m surprised this isn’t more widely known.

Get the pizza.

We visited on a cold rainy day and were the only ones there. The grounds are very nice and I think the visitor’s center was brand new at the time, but only the restrooms were open.

A very popular trail, make sure to get there early if you go on a weekend to snag a parking spot at the hairpin. The hike is very rocky and pretty much straight up for about 75% of it. Great views from the ledge.

Beautiful spot for a picnic, especially at sunset.

The first part of the trail is a fire road with no cover, so it gets very hot in the summer.

Overrated, but still worth walking around.

Stayed here a few different times and enjoyed it. The rangers are very strict, but only to keep the larger city groups down. Very much a family campground.

Short steep trail with limited parking. Head here if Kaaterskill Falls is too busy.

I guess I'll never know what the mystery is because this always seems to be closed when I'm there. Last time my dog was terrified by the lumberjack.

Hidden gem of delicious Mexican food. Don’t miss it.
