Dublin’s Best Sips and Bites
Grace Heaton
As someone who studied abroad in the beautiful, historic city of Dublin, I had more than my share of time to explore great restaurants and bars in the area. Dublin is not all meat and potatoes, so foodies, this city is for you!

The Low-down
Meat and potatoes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? Think again! The city of Dublin is a great spot for foodies, and I took advantage of all of the diverse cuisine during my eight weeks abroad. After visiting several restaurants and bars in the city, these are my best recommendations for a delicious bite to eat and for a great ambience for a drink.

Pro-tip: make sure to try Orchard Thieves’ regular and blood orange cider while you’re in Ireland — it is only sold there and was my favorite drink that I consistently had while in Dublin!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Grace Heaton
Hi everyone! My name is Grace Heaton. I am a college student studying marketing with a knack for writing and an insatiable travel bug. One of my favorite things to help friends and family with is finding the best way to make their vacations a memorable one. I have studied abroad twice during my college career, once in Vienna, Austria and once in Dublin, Ireland. During this time, I took several weekend trips and learned how to budget correctly as well as make the most of a short time in a new country. This is my specialty when it comes to travel planning, but I also have longer guides designed for the places I’ve studied abroad and spent the most time in.
Additionally, I am the author of a blog called Picky Eater Gone Global. I have always been a rather picky eater, my least favorite food is chocolate (crazy, I know!). I began writing in 2020 when my travel bug was at its peak amidst the chaos that was the covid-19 pandemic. What was a blog dedicated to cooking international cuisine in lieu of traveling has become a diary of travel experiences, recommendations, and more for those who take a read. I encourage you to utilize my guides as well as my blog posts to craft a vacation that you will never forget!
