I❤️ Markets:Torino

Torino is a personal favorite. Home to Fiat and one of the world's best Egyptian Musuems. Chocolate lover's heaven, Gianduia was created here, using the local hazelnuts to stretch the chocolate. It inspired Nutella.
The city has 18 km of covered walkways and wonderful shopping. The food is incredible. It was home to the King of Savoia. He lived there when Italy became united and it was the first capital of Italy.
The Market of Torino is one of the largest in Europe. There is a historic building and a huge piazza filled with stands.
Not just food, I also adore the flea market, Balon and the grand Balon.

Torino is one of my favorite cities in Italy. It has so much to offer. The Royal Palace is like mini-Versaille. It was the Kingdom of Savoia, which had roots also in France which you can see the connections in their food as well, especially the cheeses. The markets, museums, parks can keep you busy and have you returning again and again.

We used this for our base for our chocolate tours. Near the mercato and it has a lovely small neighborhood nearby with lovely small trattorias and piazza's to enjoy. Right near the Royal Palace.

Many of my friends like a Marriot to use their miles for their stay. This is located over by the Lingotto area. Metro service right near by. My friend lives a block away.
