Budget friendly $ Is located on Istiklal street. It maintains its long-standing reputation as a popular spot in Istanbul to enjoy a cup of authentic Turkish coffee. Its name translates to “the buffalo will not sink”, referring to the extra foam on top of its coffee, which is considered to be an indicator of its good taste. The café’s signature brewing technique, which consists of adding hot water to the pan instead of cold, has been practised since 1967.

Budget friendly $ This street in Sirkeci is famous for a couple of restaurants that have been serving their best flavors for many decades! One of those restaurants is this one especialized in “pide”, one of my favorite pide in the city! A famous pide spot among Istanbulites too.

In the past months and due to its popularity not just among locals but also among the few tourists that venture to explore this neighborhood of the city, usually there’s a long line and döner finishes early! So make sure to come before 3 pm otherwise, you might not find the place open since they close as soon as the döner finishes.

Budget friendly $ Another “lokanta” in the city where you can eat on a budget. It specializes in home-made type food. One of my favorite meañs here are the chickpeas!

Budget-friendly $ This place is very authentic where you can have one of the favorite foods of Turks, gözleme which in a way for its shape it can resemble to a quesadilla. Gözleme here is freshly prepared, there are different ingredients you can choose from as a filling and you can find the authentic version plus another one topped with yogurt and sauce, I recommend trying both! This is also a vegetarian-friendly place since there are many fillings like spinach, potato, leek, mushrooms, and more. Some ladies will be preparing and cooking gözleme right in front of you, so you can also see the process and learn how this traditional food is prepared. Usually on weekends in quite crowded but waiting for a table is worth it, you'll not regret it.

Mid budget $$$ A great option for those who want to try traditional Turkish dishes, there are two branches but both are in front of each other :) This restaurant was shown on the famous Netflix series “Chef’s Table”. One Ciya branch specilizes in kebaps, and the orher is home-style regional Turkish cuisine. You can also find vegan/vegetarian options.

A favourite on the Asian side of the city, this place blends Turkish and Aegean flavours and offers many varieties of Turkish coffee with mastic, saffron or ice cream.

Is a very popular place for locals in Besiktas. This place offers variety of Turkish coffee tastes such as dibek (special one), light, smooth and gum mastic and served with carrot cake and tiramisu. You can enjoy your Turkish coffee and Turkish delight while you are watching the lively crowds and neighborhood life on the street tables.

Pierre Loti is a bit out of the way of the main tourist attractions in Istanbul, but it's worth the trip. Once you make it up to the Tepesi, or Hill, you will take in a beautiful view of the Golden Horn - the major waterway and primary inlet to the Bosphorus.

Gulhane Park is a beautiful park close to Sultanahmet Square. All of Istanbul's parks are beautifully-maintained with a variety of plants, trees, and nature to take in.

You have to visit this area - ultra photogenic! Colorful buildings - the ex jeweish neighborhood.
