Málaga is in southern Spain and home to Pablo Picasso. I visited the week before Christmas so all the holiday decorations were up and bright lights everywhere. I loved walking around the decorated streets at night. This was also 2020, so Covid was still happening and policies were still enforced. Nonetheless, I loved the cooler weather and lighter crowds. This was the second time I had been to Spain, but the first time to the Andalucía region.

This fort and buildings are some of the best preserved from the Hispanic-Arabic history in Spain. The architecture is unique and ancient. The contrast of the arches and sky make for some spectacular photos. I highly recommend booking with a guide because they will share all the important historic facts and stories. Plus, you can ask them questions.

I lived in Ecuador for a year, learning Spanish and teaching English. More recently, I was living and teaching in Sweden, and also trying to learn Swedish.
