In this self-guided tour you will discover, taste and enjoy some of the best food in one of Rome's oldest and most vibrant neighbourhoods, Trastevere.
From an authentic family-owned Roman cafe with freshly-baked cornetto and century-old cheese store to the best Roman street food, lunch with homemade pasta and tiramisu - you will taste the very best of what Rome has to offer.
The entire experience will last about 3 hours and will include five locals favorite spots with 15 Roman specialties. I will share with you exactly what to order in each place as well as all the essential information on Italian food culture, history and traditions.
And at the end, as a bonus, I will give you my two favorite gelato places in the neighborhood ;)

Breakfast at Bar Picchiotto
This is one of my favorite places in Rome for a traditional Italian breakfast. What is it? A cappuccino with cornetto (it looks like a croissant, but it's not!)
So once you are here, enjoy a cute outside patio and order a freshly-baked cornetto with a cup of delicious creamy cappuccino. If you are not into cappuccino, I recommend freshly-squeezed orange juice (in Italian - la spremuta.) Enjoy!

Bar Picchiotto is one of locals' favorites for breakfast. As soon as you walk in - inhale and you will know exactly why... This is one of those rare places where an Italian nonna (grandma) gets up before the sunrise to bake fresh pastries. Pro Tip: Make sure to arrive before 11AM ;)
