Where to Stay

I recommend staying as close the the Siesta Key village as possible. You'll appreciate being walking distance from all the bars and restaurants and the beach access areas are much less crowded than by the main public access.

Things to Do

Siesta Beach
@valerielamberton
The main public beach access offers foot washing, public restrooms, concession and the famous Siesta Key beach sign, but beware - parking can be difficult and it tends to get very crowded in the summer months. If you are staying walking distance to the Siesta Key Village, you can walk to smaller public access points and find less of a crowd.

CB's Saltwater Outfitters
@valerielamberton
The crew here is GREAT! Whether you want to rent a speed boat, pontoon or fishing boat, you need to make sure you save at least on day and rent from these guys! Head down to Lido Beach, find dolphins, maybe even a manatee. Check out the local sand bars. Check out Casey Key and stop at the many tiki bars along the water.

Watch the shark fishing and enjoy some of the best sunsets on the water you'll ever see. Stay for dinner at Sharkey's or Fins.

I'm a high school librarian who loves traveling. When school is not in session, I am out exploring new places and activities. I love paddleboarding, going to the beach, snowboarding, food and wineries and breweries. When I travel, I like to have a nice balance of bucket list checks- you know - all the touristy stuff, but I also love going off the beaten path and experiencing life like the locals. I want YOU to have those experiences too! I've lived in multiple places in Virginia most of my life, having spend the last 17 years in Fredericksburg, Va, so I am conveniently located close to everything Virginia has to offer.
