Disclaimer: we did stay with family in the lower part of Michigan on both ends of the trip to help break up the drive.

Day 1:

We drove 6.5 hours to Marquette. Stopping of course at the Mackinac Bridge, we packed our lunch and had an awesome picnic right next to the bridge at a lovely park! If you’re stopping at the bridge you also have to get some Mackinaw Island Fudge!

Also the bridge does have a $4 toll for cars.
