Road Trippin' Around Arizona
Phoenix, Arizona
I arrived here at the Sky Harbor Airport and rented a Jeep for our adventures, since I knew we were going to be driving a lot. With Phoenix being the 5th largest city in the US, there is a ton to do. I would highly recommend renting a car because Phoenix is very spread out. Although you can order Ubers and Lyfts because it is a big city. A few places I visited were the Desert Botanical Garden, the Phoenix Zoo, and the OdySea Aquarium. My favorite by far is the Desert Botanical Garden, I would highly recommend checking out. Thunderbird Conservation Park Trail, is a short hike in Northern Phoenix that has a great view.Â
I had great Mexican food at Viva Delosantos, as well as we checked out O.H.S.O., a Brewery and Distillery. I would recommend while in Phoenix to try the local places and shops out, because I find those have the best food and best experiences. While I was there we ate at the spinning restaurant, The Compass, which was such a fun experience. I would recommend to get a reservation for sunset at this restaurant. But if you get motion sickness, maybe stay away from this restaurant. There are tons of places to get great food. If you're into shopping, I would suggest heading to Scottsdale. And if you aren't sure of what to do, I would suggest to google what cool things are happening in the city at the time you are visiting, or just asking all the locals what fun things that they like to do. I really love this city because of how sunny it is every day, and the fact that everyone is happy.Â
