Day Trip to Washington, DC
Pre-Show Dinner & Kennedy Center Events
But first, we eat!
The Kennedy Center is right next door, so make sure to inform your waiter and they will show you the short cut.
Time for the Show
The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is one of my favorite buildings and places to be in DC. Yes, it is a wonderful place to view all manner of the arts, yet it always feels inclusive and open, as it was designed to be. You can be casual or as dolled as you wish! I am always impressed with the free offerings provided to the community and patrons as you wait on your show to begin or after while the initial traffic fades away into DC. If you have the time, I encourage everyone to visit the Reach and view the art gallery and sculpture garden.
Now we rest...
At the end of your adventure-filled day, you can rest at the elegant Melrose Georgetown Hotel. This hotel is classic DC and yet clean and peace. You can leave all of the noise and chaos behind and settle in to an unexplainable comfortable bed. In the morning, all that DC has to offer is right there at your doorsteps once you leave the hotel. There are many options for food, transportation, and touristy activities to keep you busy for the remainder of your visit.
