Were you really in Rome if you didn't make a visit to the Colosseum?! This is a must-visit landmark in Rome. The amphitheater was mainly used for gladiator contests in the ancient times.
Make sure to buy tickets in advance to avoid long lines. Visiting in the early morning or in the afternoon is best to avoid the largest crowds. It is also helpful to learn some of the history to familiarize yourself before you visit the Colosseum. For a more immersive experience, join a guided tour.

I even visited Turkey when I was 8 years old. After I graduated college, I went on my first solo adventure to Iceland. This was one of the best trips of my life and it’s what made me fall in love with solo travel. Since then, I’ve visited Portugal, Spain, Italy, Austria, UK, Hungary, & France solo. I have also been to Hawaii, Turks & Caicos Islands, California, Texas, & Colorado in the past few years with friends/family. In 2024, I plan to take many more trips that I am super excited about.
