This was our villa for the week. I recommend it because there's enough room and the home is very nice. You have everything you need and the pool was something nice.
The only downside was that you had to pay extra for the AC unit.
San Lawrenz is a small place in the north of Gozo. It's super small and this one church is the square.

San Lawrenz is a very cosy town in the north of Gozo. The bus connections in Gozo are well. Near our house there were 2 stops with the 311 and 312 lines both going to Rabat (Victoria). Our place was a 10 min walk from the store and located in the center. What I really liked about Malta were the sandstone homes. It's a very local material and was often sold as a souvenir as well.
The cave is super easy to reach by bus. We stopped at the busstop: Qasab. From this busstop it's a 30 minut walk to the entrance of the cave. Along the road you have some beautiful farms and the ocean view in the back. If you go by car you can park the car at a 5 to 10 minut walk from the cave entrance.
Rabat (Victoria) is the capital city of Gozo. It's a small and nice city to explore in an afternoon.

Our second day was very relaxing and shopping based. We wanted to get some souvenirs and go to the city so we were able to adjust our planning. When we visited it was 40 degrees each day. If you go in a different time of the holiday you can do much more then what we saw. With 40 degrees we just wanted to go to the pool in the afternoon.
Popeye village is an old film set currently used as a theme park. It's easy to reach by bus. Once in Malta you take line 301 and get off at Popeye busstop.
When visiting Popeye vilage don't forget to walk over to the viewpoint. It's free and the view is amazing. Then there's another mountain in the back. If you take a small hike up to that mountain you will have an amazing view over that hill.
The citadel of Victoria is very nice and a visit worth if you have some extra time. In the evening the citadel is light.

I highly recommend Popeye village. This is absolutely amazing and was so worth it. We didn't go in the theme park itself. The citadel was very nice but I recommend also visiting it at night.
We visited the Azure window during sunset. It's the best sunset spot in Gozo.
Don't forget to bring a nice towel or blanket so you can enjoy the view from the rocks.
The blue hole is a very deep hole near the shore. It's great to swim in during the evening.

I highly recommend combining these (as they are literally next to eachother) with watching the sunset. There's a nice restaurant where you can get a drink and both of these places are super easy to reach by bus. This is a great evening trip.
This was the most touristic place of our week. It was insane. There were soooo many people! I still think it was absolutely worth the visit because the environment and everything around is absolutely stunning. We were there for 1 afternoon and I think that was more then enough as it was so so so busy.

If you want a chill afternoon in a crystal blue area for swimming this is your place. There's so much to do but it's also so hard to escape the tourists here. It was the crystal clearest water I've ever seen! This is a must do when visiting Malta/Gozo.
Day 7: Returning home - Dinner recommendation
During our last day we didn't do an activity as we were up all night. We decided to clean our house and we went out for dinner. This was a pretty expensive restaurant in San Lawrenz. We had an amazing dinner and I highly recommend going here!
