I'm an Amsterdammer at heart, but every time I visit Rotterdam, I get surprised at how much I really enjoy it. It has distinctive modern archecture since it was heavily bombed during WWII, so that gives it a different vibe than Amsterdam. But really, it's not even worth comparing the two!
Rotterdam is special. It's a bit rough around the edges in the best way.
