Arriving in Malaga

If you arrive by plane, the quickest and cheapest way into the city will be by train. The C1 line will take you to the main train station in around 12 minutes and will cost you less than 2 euros.

Breakfast

Start your day by tasting a local speciality for breakfast, Churros! The best place to eat them is "Casa Aranda" where they have been making them since 1932.

Find peace at the Botanical Gardens!

Being a nature lover I love visiting botanical gardens wherever I go, Malaga's beautiful Jardin Botanico is a peaceful paradise just outside the city centre. Just a short ride on the local bus will take you there and once inside you can explore the diversity of vegetation and enjoy the views from above.

Beach time!

It's almost always sunny in Malaga, so why not spend the afternoon on the beach. Playa de la Malagueta is only a short walk from the centre and is the perfect place for a swim or a walk along the seafront.

Dinner

For dinner I wanted to skip the touristic places, so I walked away from the city and came across a small restaurant called "La Guerta". Of course I recommend trying the paella, which was huge and at a great price!

Get lost in the Alcazaba!

The Alcazaba is a must see when in Malaga, it can get busy and very hot during the day so I suggest visiting early in the morning. It is the perfect place to take amazing photos and learn more about Malaga's history.

Lunch

If you want to lunch like a local, I suggest you try a "menu del dia" many restaurants offer this 3 course set menu for around 10 euros! I recommend "Bar los Pueblos" for their choice and fast service.

Climb up to the Castle!

Gibralfaro castle sits on top of the city it is a bit of an uphill struggle to get there, but worth the sweat as you will be awarded with breathtaking views during your climb. Once you reach the top you can walk along the walls, visit the small museum and get a drink at the bar.
