One thing to keep in mind is the following areas are not city parks, but natural areas. What is lacking in amenities is made up for in the pristine natural space. Be mindful of your care for these places to keep the areas wild.
Purgatory Creek Natural Area
Most of us just call this park Purgatory. Named after Dante’s Inferno, this park is a vast landscape through some amazing hill country terrain.
Dante trail is the main artery that takes you from the two trailheads, Purgatory north & south, but there is a vast network of trails that will give you plenty of amazing views.
Secret tip: Look for the cave. Hint: it's below Dante Trail Overlook.
