Bern is truly picturesque city in Switzerland.
For me and my boyfriend, it was an obvious stop as we wanted to see the capital city and absorb the culture through an authentic Swiss atmosphere. It was one of the stops on our 9 days road trip around Switzerland and you can find our tips 🔽

Parking🚗
In Switzerland, parking in parking houses is generally very expensive and varies from 0.5-4 CHF/hour. On the other side parking on streets is not that easy either, as many streets offer only a LIMITED amount of time for parking.
However, if that is a fit for you, then I have a travel hack.
You can easily buy a parking disc at petrol stations (the price of approx. 4 CHF) which will allow you to park in blue zones for a limited amount of time for FREE. The only thing you need to do is to set a time of your arrival. The use of a disc in blue zones is obligatory by law.
This "hack" can be applied to other Swiss cities as well. More about blue zones and parking below🔽:

Beautiful medieval tower from the year 1405 with its stunning astronomical clock. We were lucky as we were passing by at the time a little play was going on. Later we did a little research and this spectacular little act goes every hour.

The Bern Münster Cathedral of St. Vincent is the most stunning late-Gothic building in the city. We definitely recommend climbing up to the tower where you will come across a beautiful view of the whole city and Kirchenfeldbrücke in particular. The ticket is about 6€.

Airport transfer✈️
It is quite easy to travel between the airport and the city center. There are several bus and train possibilities. Below you can find a Google Maps link that will help you to navigate yourself when leaving the airport.
