Death Valley: The Ultimate Guide
Visiting Death Valley National Park is often compared to going to another planet. When I was planning our trip, I was getting nervous that it simply wouldn't live up to the hype. The way hikers and travelers talk about this place would have you thinking that it matches the beauty of United State's crown jewels like Yosemite and Glacier National Parks, when to me it just looked like a desert surrounded by some mountains.
Luckily for us, and for you if you decide to visit, Death Valley was deserving of all the hype. It is so unique and unlike anywhere else in the country. You can walk through badlands, charred wastelands, salt flats, sand dunes, and relax in a desert oasis all in just a few hours. The best part of Death Valley is that it is just 2 hours away from the 24th most populous area in the country, Las Vegas, Nevada.
This guide will provide you with our exact two day itinerary as well as the best places to hike, stay, and eat if the places that we decided to visit don't appeal to you or don't work with your schedule.
It is presumed that you will fly or drive in very early on day one and then fly/drive home after 5:00 PM the next day.
Death Valley Key Notes:
