I personally took this photos and they can’t even get close to the feeling that me and my friends all had when we started see all the balloons going up in the air.

Well if this is one of your dream destination, this is definitely your guide!

Starting from the beginning I would recommend to arrive in the Kayseri airport and rent a car and go straight to Göreme. (Be careful though, google maps will drive you in some pretty difficult roads once you get in Cappadocia… and trust me when I say that a good warranty is well needed! And a bit of practice with off roads!)

This was the wanderlust view we had from our hostel in the Centre of Göreme, this small city located in a strategic position to move all over Cappadocia. The host was very kind and helping, thanks to him, we got a pretty good price for our Quad tour! Where we went in the most important valleys in the whole area: The rose valley! Reminding a bit of the Gran canyon for his natural color, especially for the sunset

Let’s get straight to the main event: air balloons!

The super early alarm will be totally worth it to get to see them at sunrise but know let’s break it down:

Are you really sure you want to pay 250€ for this kind of experience? I respect who is so devoted to this cause but I find so risky to pay and (especially if you don’t have a lot of days) not even get the certainty for them to flight!

Because yes, if it’s a bit windy, no flights!

I recommend you to ask to guides all over the place, they know at least a day in advance if they are going to fly or not, eventually you can sleep more!

Rose valley

Another must is the Uchisar Castle: such a mysterious place that will give you an amazing view all over Cappadocia and I recommend you to get there for the sunset.

The price of the entrance is 4/5€

Love valley

Two gems:

I personally recommend, especially if you have more than 3 days, to get to Tuz lake and Ilhara valley.

The first is a salt lake where you will be completely amazed by his reflection on water

The second one instead, it’s a must stop for trekking lovers. Be careful with staying hydrated for all the track, it’s pretty long but at the end of it you will have a delicious lunch nearby the river that flows inside this Canyon.
