Vietnamese Food Choices

Secret Garden Hoian
@theslowjourners
We stumbled across the Secret Garden restaurant after a fun bike ride exploring Hoi An. We really enjoyed their fish in clay pot dish and their spicy chicken dish. The curry chicken was decent but their passion fruit juice was the crowd favorite!

Vy's Market Restaurant
@theslowjourners
Vy’s Market is set up like a food hall with a lot if food options but all are managed by the same company. We had a grilled fish and beef pho. Both were fantastic. It’s really close to the night market and An Hoi Bridge (bridge above all the boats with lanterns).

Pho Xua
@theslowjourners
This is our #1 favorite pho spot in Hoi An! We love the beef pho, aka pho bo. Pho Xua gives lots of meat and toppings (some places are a little stingy) with their pho. They are also on the Grab app if you feel like eating good pho without going out to eat.

Chic Chillax
@theslowjourners
Chic Chillax is a great spot to watch sunset and take pictures! This place is so colorful and great for Instagram photos. Its is best to get there an hour before sunset, and then stay until after sunset and the blue hour. It is located near some rice paddies, and there are straw animals on the property. The whole place looks gorgeous at sunset. They offer a good variety of food and drinks, with a mix of Vietnamese and western options. Watch the linked video to see more about Chic Chillax. They are also very digital nomad friendly!

Thanh Quan Bread
@theslowjourners
Thanh Quan Bread is located near the Ba Le Market. From the front, it looks like a normal banh mi stand. But under the surface, (or in this case, behind the stand) are ovens that bake golden loaves of fresh bread. We like to get there pretty early to get fresh out of the oven loaves that are warm, crunchy-on-the-outside-soft-on-the-inside, and delicious. Also, the banh mi is fantastic.

Soul Kitchen
@theslowjourners
Soul Kitchen is located by the An Bang Beach. We liked the food and drinks there. There was a Vietnamese folk band the night we went, and they sounded fantastic. The atmosphere is great and the food flavors were on point!

Morning Glory Original
@theslowjourners
If you want to taste good authentic Vietnamese food, get yourself to the Original Morning Glory restaurant. Their food is delicious, the service was on point and the dessert (flan) to die for! We felt that their prices were reasonable and fair for the food.
