Kasol Unveiled: A 7-Day Himalayan Escape
Kasol, nestled in the serene Parvati Valley, serves as the final base camp for numerous treks in this enchanting region. The valley's allure has deep roots, dating back to when Israeli adventurers embraced the treks, establishing a community in the heart of India. This era also marked the introduction of Western music to India, as Israelis, adorned in Indian attire with dreadlocks, immersed themselves in the culture, playing Shiva mantras. Thus, Kasol earned its moniker as the 'Mini Israel of India,' a quaint fusion of cultures.
Rewind to 2009, and Kasol was adorned with just a handful of properties, a testament to its untouched charm. It wasn't until 2015 that Indians started discovering the allure of Kasol, and following the post-COVID era, the trekking industry experienced an unprecedented boom. Today, Kasol stands not only as a base camp for treks but as a melting pot of cultures, a testament to the harmonious blend of Indian and Israeli influences in this Himalayan haven.
