This place is prime time as far as location goes. The heated pool looks over the ocean and you literally feel like you are in Cabo.

-the hotel has tons of family activities going on. Craft center is located right next to the pool so the big kids can walk over on their own. 

-hotel provides beach equipment to take over to the beach. 

-lots of food vendors under the boardwalk (seafood, ice cream (Mariposa Ice Cream), snacks)

- suites include a kitchen. This features will save you big on family meals vs eating out. Walmart is just down the street.

Beach: long flat beach with calm waves. take your boogie boards, beach chairs and sand toys. The kids played for hours at the beach followed by more physical activity at the hotel pool. bike rentals and surf lessons are available. not far from the pier is a little playground on the sand. a perfect little morning walk before breakfast for the early risers. 

San Diego Zoo: On our way into Oceanside we kept going past and headed to the San Diego Zoo. I got a few tickets on Offerup in San Diego and we all got in for around $40! 

Legoland: we didn't make it to Legoland this time around but it is just a few minutes away from Oceanside. 

Thursday Morning Farmers Market (9-1pm): located in the middle of town a few blocks from the beach. This farmers market was HUGE and rivaled San Diego's Little Italy farmers market. 

Thursday Sunset Market (5-9p): same location as morning market. this was HANDS DOWN a highlight of our trip. the food selection here was unmatched along with quality! I have never had so many amazing food options in one place. Highlights were the lobster rolls and char gilled oysters from the Portuguese guys and the Israeli chicken. ::chefs kiss:: 

-Pizza, wings beer, arcade games, enclosed patio so kiddies can't take off! 

a very unique short hike that my boys are able to tackle (ages 3 and 5). can't find many slot canyons in CA! 

-great food, pin ball machines, beers / full bar, small bowling alley. What more can you ask for in keeping the kids entertained while parents chillllll.. 

A MUST!!!! we frequent their location in San Juan Capistrano, Ca about every other month and can't wait for a trip out to the new O-Side loc. I have no doubt in my mind that everything on their menu will be stellar as their SJC loc always blows our minds. We love supporting this business as the owner is from our hometown. 

do yourself a favor and snag a fire pit outside and watch the sunset with a strong tequila beverage. If you're all about views this place is great! We had a sitter so were able to step out for some drinks.

another great morning walk with the little ones who wake early. just a short walk from the hotel. amazing donuts and they even have keto donuts!!
