Sri Lanka is often referred to as the "Pearl of the Indian Ocean" due to its beauty and strategic location. This nickname highlights the island's picturesque landscapes, including its beaches, lush forests, and diverse wildlife, which together create a gem-like allure in the vast expanse of the Indian Ocean. When people ask - is it safe? I can only say from my personal experience 100% yes. Locals are extremely friendly and I haven't had any instances of feeling unsafe.
