1. How to get from the airport to your accommodation
Let´s kick off your Chiang Mai adventure with a smooth landing! Upon your arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport, you have some options to reach your accommodation. You can either book a Grab or Bolt (the Asian equivalents of Uber) with just a few taps on your phone, or, if you prefer the traditional route, head to the arrival hall and book a ride directly.
To go to the Old City center, the journey typically costs around 150 Baht (approx. 3.90 EUR) if you opt for the airport taxi, while Grab or Bolt might offer a slightly more budget-friendly alternative at around 100 Baht (approx. 2.60 EUR).
If you´re travelling light with just a backpack, you can even consider the option of booking a motorbike taxi through Grab or Bolt, which would cost around 60 Baht (approx. 1.50 EUR). This not only offers a more cost-effective alternative but also promised an adventurours journey.
I´ve seen people doing this, but please prioritize your safety above all else.
The choice is yours - go for the convenience that suits your travel style!
The M Hotel in Chiang Mai boasts an excellent location, situated right next to the Old City center. After an exhausting day of exploration, you can also refresh yourself in the pool.
If you are looking for a hostel, this might be your choice. It is conveniently located in the Old City Center and also offers delicious food.

Alternatively, you can opt for a massage at Women's Prison Massage. It is a special massage service run by female inmates as part of their rehabilitation. It offers quality massages and supports the women's reintegration into society. You will see also massage places run by ex-prisioners.
Here are the links for some temples, but there are so many; just take a stroll, and you'll discover more on your own. It's essential to cover your knees and shoulders when entering temples:

What sets these waterfalls apart is their remarkable feature – the rocks and limestone formations are covered in a mineral deposit that gives them a sticky, grippy texture. This allows visitors to climb the cascading tiers of the waterfall. Unlike typical waterfalls, the "sticky" surface provides excellent traction, making it possible for both novice and experienced climbers to ascend the falls with ease. It's a fantastic spot for adventure seekers and nature enthusiasts looking to cool off, have fun, and witness the beauty of Thailand's natural landscape.
