If you only have a few days but still want to get the most out of your weekend in Savannah, GA, then this guide is for you!
Day 1: Arrival
We're arriving on Friday evening, ready to spend the weekend in the low country.
First thing's first: let's get checked in.
After you're all checked in, head just around the corner for dinner at The Public. Be ready to spend some time here — but don't worry, it's worth it. And definitely don't skip the dessert.
Day 2: A Full Day of Savannah
Start the day off right at J. Christopher's, one of the delicious breakfast spots.
After breakfast, head to Franklin's to grab a cup of coffee.
As you make your way through Savannah, stop and enjoy the beautiful squares throughout the city.
Start heading south to see Forsyth Park! First stop: the fountain.
Next, drop by my personal favorite spot in the park: the Garden of Fragrance. Whether you bring a book and want to sit for a while or enjoy the flowers, it's a gorgeous part of the city.
Keep heading south to the Forsyth Farmers' Market. You'll get to see tons of local vendors, and it's one of my favorite parts of Saturdays in Savannah. Enjoy the artists, local foods, and so much more.
Just a few blocks south of Forsyth is Bull Street Taco! Enjoy delicious tacos, burritos, and drinks.
As you head back north, there are a ton of great stops on the way, including E Shaver Booksellers. They've got classics, new releases, and bookstore cats — everything you need.
This spot is also right around the corner from the DeSoto, so it's a great time to head to your room to freshen up, grab a nap, or whatever you need to do!
Once you're ready to head back out, it's time to head to River Street. There's a ton to see here!
Get a great view of River Street by heading up to the Myrtle & Rose Rooftop Bar. It's part of the JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District and has delicious offerings.
As you make your way down River Street, make sure to check out the shops, monuments, and more along the way.
When you're ready for dinner, head over to Huey's! This river-facing restaurant has tons of delicious southern options to enjoy.
Before you head out, Leopold's is a must. Plus, you'll be able to see the SCAD theater next door and the SCAD library across the street.
Time to wrap up the day and head back to the DeSoto for the evening! If you're not ready to call it a night, the hotel bar has delicious offerings.
Day 3: Last Minute Stops
In the morning, head over to Clary's for a classic breakfast. You'll want to get here early — the line gets long quickly.
On the way back to the DeSoto, check out shopSCAD to see incredible creations from SCAD students and alum.
Before you head out, grab a drink from Savannah Coffee Roasters. Delicious drinks and pastries. They've got lots of seating if you want to hang out, too.
