Day Trip to Capitol Reef from Utah County

Skylar Fenton
This is a day trip that I did from Utah county to Capitol Reef (about a 3-3.5 hr drive). The drive was simple and easy to follow! Perfect for a day trip starting bright and early!

Cassidy Arch

This is a 3.1 mile moderate ranked trail on the All Trails application. What is special about this park is that it's not too crowded. We went in March. The view was beautiful throughout the trail.

Hickman Bridge Trail

The Hickman Bridge trail is a 1.7 mile moderate rated trail on the All Trails application. I definitely recommend using the All Trails application so that you do not get lost. It begins along the river and slightly steep gradient in the beginning. The views, rock formations, and nature is worth it!

Capitol Reef Petroglyph Trail

After going to Hickman Bridge, I recommend stopping by the Capitol Reef petroglyph trail. It's more of a viewing point, but it is along the way, so might as well!

It's fun to add a little randomness to the trip while you get gas! Why not here?!
