Dining

Parcelles

This has to be my absolute favourite place to lunch in Paris. Located in a lovely little Rue in the haute Marais, it would all be about the superb wine selection if only the food wasn’t so damn good. Bastien and Sarah offer the kind of warm service and cosy vibes that make you wish this was your local. This is what Paris is all about.

Vivant 2

If you want fun, this is your go to in Paris. Pocket sized bar come restaurant in a great little part of the 10th, dinner at the bar is a bit like a rock concert. Slick tunes ranging from Roxy Music to AC/DC accompany very suave staff that are too cool for school. Candles in bottles and the energy of the small space add to the experience. But the food and wine is amazing and we enjoyed a perfect final night in Paris here.

Septime

Let’s get this over with first, yes it is Michelin starred. But pretentious it is not. Perfect spot for a long Paris lunch where all the decisions are made for you so you can just relax and enjoy the set menu with matched wines. The cost timber furniture, quaint courtyard and relaxed staff make this a very hard place to leave.

LE VERRE VOLÉ
@abroadabroad
This long time favourite near Canal St Martin is consistently the best place in Paris for an unplanned lunch. In fact why just do it once when there are new specials of the day each day giving you so many reasons to come back. Pick a bottle of wine from the shelves all around you. Then after, walk it off with a stroll along the canal.

Drinks

CRAVAN Paris 16e
@abroadabroad
So successful that they have now grown to a second much larger bar in the 6er, this is the original and in my opinion the best as it is everything you could want in a Paris bar. Small, quaint, local, street side seating, original decor to transport you back to another era. And then the cocktails. So pure and beautiful you won’t want to ruin it by drinking them. But you will.

Bellerose WOMEN

Ok so technically this is a Belgian brand, but the styling is all France. Bring home a little piece of Paris with colourful pantaloons, zippy Breton tops and shoe collabs with Saucony.

If a bit of vintage is your thing then you will die and go to heaven here. Sorted by colours and styles it is a visual wonderland. Nobody does vintage like the French.
