How to get to the Galapagos Islands?

There are two main airports in Galapagos:

The most central one is the Galapagos Ecological Airport, which is located on Baltra Island (Seymour)

The other one is located in the capital of the Galapagos, Isla San Cristobal and this one usually has the cheapest flights

This is the main airport and it has a central location. It is also the first ecological airport in the world. If you want to visit Isabela Island, this is the fastest route.

The Wall of Tears or Muro de Las Lagrimas in Spanish, is a historical site near the coastline of Isabela Island, it was built during the penal colony era on the island.

To reach it you can bike or walk. It is 6 KM from the main town, 3 going and 3 back.

No cars or motorbikes are allowed in order to protect nature.

The trail is easy to find, you just go on the main street and walk or bike all the way straight till the end.

Please, NO BIKES ON THE BEACH. The Galapagos islands are famous for their nature which means, lizards, marine iguanas, turtles, and many nests are on the beach... If you bike you can't damage their environment.

When you get to the wall, you will see stairs... if you go all the way up there are 3 viewpoints.

The last viewpoint is the highest on the island, and the best views are from here!

Tips
