Genova
Genova is one of the most important ports in Italy and always has been. The first bank in the world was opened in 1407 here. You can note the wealth the city had by the incredible palazzi.
The architecture around town is gorgeous. You will enjoy walking down the covered arcades on the main shopping street, Via XX Settembre.
Each one is a work of art from the mosaic pavements to the ceilings.
